Ink
jet paper Fotojet
As early as in 1999 after scrupulous marketing research the
our group began the commercial production of the first Russian
Ink Jet Slavich Photo Paper Fotojet, Glossy. The company used
its 70-year experience in photo materials production and high-class
imported equipment.
Now several types of Fotojet paper are produced depending
on the substrate quality: Photo Paper Slavich Fotojet Glossy,
Photo Paper Slavich Fotojet Structure and Photo Paper Slavich
Fotojet Satin.
Fotojet paper is intended for professional use where the highest
quality of the resulting image is necessary first of all.
The paper provides wide colour scope, precise color rendering,
exceptionally high optical density of the image (more than
2.0 D), high resolution (up to 4800 – 9600 dpi) with
printing on thermo jet printers such as HP, Lexmark, Canon.
Special substrate types such as Structure and Satin ensure
the high esthetic quality and realism of impressions, exclude
the flash of impressions.
The Fotojet paper has a unique swellable coating of polymer
ink-reception layer. During printing the ink is absorbed by
the perception layer which after drying encapsulates the ink
retaining its natural colour and brightness and also protects
impressions from the harmful influence of light, oxygen and
ozone of the air. By this reason the drying time of the image
is higher than that of micro pore papers (up to 10 minutes
and higher). The total drying of the print with the removal
of water and ink solvents from the swelled layer takes about
one day like in all modern paper types; that should be taken
into account in lamination, putting the prints into albums
and files, etc. The active drying can reduce this process
to minutes.
Special high-quality double-sided resin coated photo substrates
are used in making the Fotojet paper. They are absolutely
destruction-proof in contrast to paper substrates which are
time-destructible (even the best inks are unable to retain
the photos when the paper substrate is destructed).
It should be taken into account that the working coating of
the Fotojet paper is water-soluble and needs special precautions
in work with the paper and prints. All papers of this type
are vulnerable to water. But proper storage eliminating the
contact with water (e.g. in a photo album) or lamination makes
this disadvantage insignificant especially taking into account
the excellent print quality, wide colour scope comparable
with the world best analogues, high light resistance combining
with low print cost.
The Fotojet paper is easily cold- or hot-laminated; and RC
background prevents the paper turning yellow for a long time.

Fotojet paper advantages:
- excellent color rendering, brightness and saturation of
colours;
- possible use for color tests;
- immaculate definition, high print resolution - more than
4800 dpi;
- high light resistance of images.
Fotojet papers are recommended for professional use: for photo
illustrators, for designers, for color test printing.
